Developing: Missing Ohio Mother Found Dead in Trash Can Behind Abandoned Building

Police in Ohio have a man in custody following the discovery of a missing woman’s body, found stuffed inside a trash can.

According to Local 12 News, Brittany Moran, 30, was last seen in the Loveland area between May 15 and May 16. Her mother, Audrey, became concerned after Brittany went silent for several days and stopped posting on social media.

NBC 5 reports that Audrey contacted people and friends in Loveland and eventually filed a missing persons report. After days of searching, detectives informed Audrey that her daughter’s body had been found in a trash can behind an abandoned building on Paddock Road in Paddock Hills.

On Friday, police arrested 50-year-old Dean Allen and charged with him abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Court records indicate the charges stem from and incident on Paddock Road, and a search and rescue group assisting the family said Allen is connected to Moran’s case.

“Very difficult. It’s the first death of my family and she’s my first child. She’s the one who gave the the title of mom,” Audrey said.

“I was young when I had her, but I stepped up. I wanted to be a mom for the rest of my life. That’s why I’m the crazy mom I am who would go and hunt her down and make sure she was safe.”

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help the victim’s family with expenses.

“It would mean so much to my family to give her a proper burial so we and her children can have a spot to visit her at,” the fundraiser reads.

“We are so grateful for any donations and generosity received so that Brittany’s mom, siblings and children can grieve without the financial stress that the suddenness of this tragic loss has brought.”
