On Saturday, Georgia police arrested a third man in connection to the 2022 slaying of a woman whose body remains missing.
WAGA reported that Steven Oboite, 31, was apprehended while jet skiing at Lake Allatoona in Bartow County. Oboite, along with Diante Reynolds — who was arrested in August 2022 — are charged with killing Allahnia Lenoir, 24, in July 2022.
Lenoir was reportedly last seen at the Peachtree Apartments, and police believe she was killed there and moved to an unknown location.
According to the Department of Natural Resources, game wardens at the lake tried to issue Oboite a “no wake” order when he took off on his jet ski. He eventually abandoned the jet ski on shore and fled on foot into the woods. Game wardens captured Oboite in the woods and took him into custody.
A third suspect, Nicholas Hendrickson, is charged with disposing of Lenoir’s body — which remains unaccounted for nearly two years later. Hendrickson is also in police custody.
According to WSB-TV, Lenoir’s family said she and a friend were meeting two men at the apartment complex but Lenoir never returned home.
Oboite is charged with felony murder, concealing the death of another, and tampering with evidence.
In light of Saturday’s incident, Lenoir’s mother publicly asked Oboite to reveal the location of her daughter’s remains.
“Tell me where my daughter is. Tell me what you did with her. Tell me where you made her disappear, because she has disappeared off the face of this earth,” she said.
