A 23-year-old Virginia woman is wanted for murder after her three roommates were found dead at a home in Spotsylvania County Tuesday night.
Alyssa Jane Venable may have shaved her head to disguise her appearance and evade detection, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday.
The sheriff’s office said it was called to the home at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday for a welfare check and found two men and a woman dead “from upper body trauma.”
The victims were identified as 77-year-old John McGuire, 60-year-old Gregory Scott Powell, and 65-year-old Carol Anne Reese.
They identified Venable as their suspect and charged with with three counts of second degree murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. She may be driving a gray 2009 Honda Civic with a Virginia tag TRK-7451.
Venable is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 228 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Venable’s grandmother, Jane Venable, spoke with WTTG and urged her granddaughter to “please call home.”
“She is being accused of a heinous, heinous, crime, and we don’t know the facts.” she said. “We don’t know, but right now my granddaughter is missing, and we don’t know if she’s at risk of taking her life. So we just say, please AJ, call home.”
