Florida police have identified the man who allegedly shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and her 4-year-old son at a bank last week.

Odalys Bancroft, 43, was driving in a minivan with her son, Theofore Couto, in the backseat when she pulled up to an ATM at Chase Bank in West Kendall. It was then that her ex-boyfriend, Michael Andres Pineda Lozano, 41, pulled up next to them and opened fire — killing them before turning the gun on himself, according to WTVJ.

Bancroft’s brother told the news outlet that she and Lozano were going through a breakup. Relatives told WPLG that Bancroft recently filed a protective order against Lozano.

WSVN reported that Bancroft was taking Cuoto to daycare when they were killed. Reports indicated that Lozano is not the slain boy’s father.

Miami-Dade police have not disclosed a motive in Friday’s double murder-suicide.
