A north Georgia sheriff’s deputy was fired from his job Tuesday when he was arrested on federal child exploitation and pornography charges.
Steven Bunte was arrested at his home in Gordon County by federal investigators. Cherokee County officials said he’d been employed by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for five years, assigned to the Adult Detention Center, WAGA reported.
Jail records show Bunte was charged with five counts of computer/electronic pornography and child exploitation.
