AMBER Alert: Two Louisiana Children Missing, Mother Found ‘Brutally Murdered’ in Home

An AMBER Alert has been issued by Louisiana State Police for two young children, last seen before 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, 3-year-old Erin Brunett and 6-year-old Jalie Brunett were last seen 56044 N. Cooper Road in Loranger.

The children’s mother, Callie Brunett, 35, had not been heard from for over 24 hours; her father discovered her deceased inside the residence on Thursday. Police are currently treating her death as a homicide.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards said in a press release that Brunett’s car, a black 2012 Chrysler 200 with Louisiana license, plate 859GML, is also unaccounted for.

Police are searching for an unidentified male, wanted for questioning in connection with Brunett’s death, who is likely driving her vehicle. Nola.com reports that the vehicle has no hubcaps and damage on the rear.

“The driver of this vehicle is believed to be armed and dangerous,” police said. “Extreme caution should be used.”

Erin is described as a white female who stands 3 feet tall and weighs around 32 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. Jalie is described as a white female who stands 4 feet tall and weighs around 58 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
