Police in Utah are looking for a woman who is believed to have shot and killed two victims in the city of Washington Tuesday night.
St. George police public information officer Tiffany Mitchell identified the suspect as Mia Bailey, who could also be going by the name of Collin Troy Bailey, and said she is considered armed and dangerous.
A shelter in place in the area where the shooting took place has been lifted, but Mitchell cautioned residents to be watchful.
Police found a woman and a man shot to death at the home on East Chinook Drive when they responded to reports of a shooting. The victims’ names have not been released.
Investigators said Bailey was seen leaving the area in a “distinctive” yellow Kia Soul with Utah tag U06 9GF. Mitchell, however, said police believe she is now on foot but could still be in the car.
Bailey is described as about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 130 pounds with brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue skinny jeans and a light blue or white t-shirt. Washington Police Lt. Kory Klotz told KSL that Bailey wears wigs and is known to change hair styles frequently.
Police asked the public to not approach Bailey or the vehicle if located and to call 911 or Washington police at 435-986-1515.
