FOUND SAFE: Missing Texas Infant in ‘Grave Danger’ After Aggravated Assault Incident

3 p.m. Update: A kidnapped 6-month-old has been found safe after he was abducted by his father late Saturday night.

An Amber Alert issued for Thomas Gallardo Jr. has been cancelled, El Paso Police said. No further information was released, including information about the alleged abductor, Thomas Gallardo Sr., although the department posted a photo of the father with the word “Located” over his head.”

A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for an abducted 6-month-old in Texas. 

According to KTSM 9, infant Thomas Gallardo Jr. was last seen on Saturday, just before midnight, along the 700 block of Karl Drive in El Paso. He was last seen in a Jordan red onesie with black spots and without socks or shoes.

Thomas Gallardo, 28, is said to be in connection with the abduction after an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Gallardo was last wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, and white shoes.

The suspect is believed to be driving a blue 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with Texas license plate, LWR5358.

Law enforcement officials believe the child to be in grave danger.

 “On June 23, 2024, the pictured child was reported missing. The missing child was taken by (Gallardo) during the commission of an Aggravated Assault with/ a Deadly Weapon,” El Paso police posted on Facebook.
