A 6-year-old Massachusetts boy who reportedly vanished from his home on Sunday was found dead in a lake hours later.

Officials said they believe Zayan Mayanja vanished from his Westford home via a window. WHDH reported that his body was found in Nabnasset Lake about three hours after his disappearance, according to WHDH.

Reports indicated that Mayanja is nonverbal and autistic. An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding his death.
