A suburban Chicago man was arrested Saturday and charged with the axe murder of his 90-year-old grandfather.
Dean L. Faulk, 90, was found dead in the Hickory Hills home he shared with his 32-year-old grandson on Friday, WMAQ reported..
Dean J. Faulk was charged with first degree murder. Cook County court documents say he struck his grandfather multiple times with an axe, according to WBBM.
Police said Friday they”d taken a person of interest into custody and on Saturday announced charges against the younger Faulk.
Investigators said there was “a history of domestic related incidents at the residents.”
They have not released any information about a possible motive.
Faulk had a first appearance in court on Sunday and is being held without bond, according to jail records.
