BOLO: 12-Year-Old Maryland Girl Missing, Parents Find Cryptic Note

The parents of a missing Maryland girl are pleading for answers after they found a note from their daughter after discovering her missing Thursday.

Tayzha “Alona” Warren, 12, was last seen at around 8:30 p.m. in the Pikesville area. Her parents said they went to her room to wake her up, and her bed was empty.

“She wasn’t there. She wasn’t in her room. It was just her pillows,” her mother, Mia Brooks, told ABC 2 Baltimore.

Brooks said her daughter left a note that read “Don’t call the police because that would make it worse,” and that she was on her way to Pennsylvania.

Brooks, who said the letter was odd, contacted police immediately.

The family said they weren’t sure if Tayzha ran away or if someone kidnapped her. Friends reportedly said that she was talking to a man she may have tried to meet.

“People have said, and friends have said, that she was talking to a man in his 20s. That means somebody who is an adult has brainwashed by 12-year-old,” Brooks said.

Tayzha is described as a Black female who stands 4 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs around 120 pounds. She may have been wearing Red Crocs shoes when she disappeared.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact 911 or the Baltimore Police Department at 410-307-2020.
