An Ohio man has been charged with the domestic violence murder of his adult son on Wednesday.
Olmsted Township police said the man, 63-year-old Donald Varga, called 911 to say he’d shot his 29-year-old son in the chest after he attacked him with a baseball bat.
Responding officers met Varga outside the home and then found the son, Corey Varga, inside. Paramedics arrived an attempted lifesaving measures before taking him to a hospital, where he died.
On Friday, police announced they were charging the elder Varga with domestic violence and murder “after a thorough investigation, interviews, and reviewing all the evidence involved.”
Varga will appear in court later Friday morning.
Investigators did not say if they found a baseball bat on the scene.
