The search continues for a missing Tennessee woman who vanished late last month and may be experiencing a medical episode.
Valerie Elder Smiley, 41, was reportedly last seen leaving her Chattanooga home on June 28. Smiley’s cousin revealed to WRCB that she has a medical issue that leads to memory loss — meaning she may not know how to get back home.
Police reportedly tracked Smiley’s car, and it was last spotted on Monday. Smiley’s cousin claimed her car traveled through Monteagle, before returning south and heading toward on Interstate 75.
“I just need you home in my arms please, that’s all I ask,” Smiley’s father said, according to WRCB.
Smiley was described as standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. She has a tattoo on her right calf.
Smiley was reportedly seen driving a red 2004 Ford Expedition with a Georgia license plate reading 079 BFQD.
WRCB reported that Smiley’s family is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to finding her. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
