A drive-thru customer shot and killed a Tennessee Church’s Chicken employee after an argument Monday night.

Memphis Police said the shooting happened at about 9 p.m. They found the wounded employee and rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, but she later died.

Investigators learned that the employee was working the drive-thru when a woman with purple hair drove up in a teal compact SUV. The two argued, and the customer drove off.

The employee stepped outside to get some air and was shot.

Police said surveillance video showed the teal SUV speeding off the parking lot after the shooting.
