A Fort Campbell soldier and mother of a 4-year-old son found dead in her home earlier this year died from nearly 70 stab wounds.
The Montgomery County Medical Examiner said that Pfc. Katia Dueñas Aguilar, 23, was stabbed 68 times in her neck and upper body, the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reported.
Police said on Wednesday that no arrests have been made. Local police are working with Army investigators on the case.
Aguilar, a native of Mesquite, Texas, was found dead in her home near the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line on May 18. Clarksville, Tennessee, as CrimeOnline reported. She enlisted in the Army in 2018 and came to Fort Campbell a year later, where she was a member of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
Aguilar’s family and The League of United Latin American Citizens have offered a $55,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
