The family of a 22-year-old murdered Atlanta woman hopes a new billboard will help police find the person who killed her.
In July 1990, a maintenance worker discovered Princella Eppe shot dead inside her apartment at The Earle on North Highland Avenue, according to AJC. She was found deceased after she failed to show for work and her employer contacted police.
Her family has recently placed a billboard along I-85 to bring new attention to the cold case.
“It’s still hard for mom, still hard for my siblings,” her sister, Kimberley Beasley told FOX 5 Atlanta. “We miss her. She’s part of our family. And it’s still a hole. It’s like a hole there.”

In 2022, the Atlanta Police Department announced it was re-examining the case. However, Beasley said little progress has been made in the two years since.
A new investigator has since been assigned to Eppes’ case, and a $10,000 reward is now being offered by Crime Stoppers for information. Then, after receiving a grant from the Season of Justice, the family placed the billboard over the interstate.
“I hope that the billboard jogged somebody’s memory. We want our sister’s killer to be found. We want that person to be brought to justice. And we want to bring justice to our sister,” Beasley said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
