North Carolina officials are searching for a 38-year-old woman last seen on July 13 in the Lineberger Road area of Stanley.
According to Gaston County Police, Kelly Krueger was last seen “wearing a dark ‘Simply Southern’ tee shirt, black Nike gym shorts, pink Crocs, and a dark-colored baseball cap.
Krueger left her Stanley home without her phone, keys, or medication, and disappeared into the night, according to what her boyfriend told police. No one has seen or heard from her since.
“I can’t give you the exact timeline on when this happened because he waited several days before he supposedly got worried and made a phone call,” her mother, Melanie Mathews, told the Gaston Gazette.
“He actually stated during a verbal phone call that we had that he watched her walk off into the night.”
Melanie added that she fears her daughter is dead, since Krueger regularly took medicine for ADHD and anxiety.
“She didn’t have her medication. That girl never went anywhere without her medication,” Mathews said. “I think she was murdered. I honestly think it was a cold, calculated murder.”
Krueger is described as standing 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighing around 125 pounds. She has green eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call Detective J. Waldrop with the Gaston County Police Department at 704-866-3320.
