BOLO: Missing California Girl Vanishes During Bike Ride to Aunt’s House

A Monterey Park, California, teen was last seen on Tuesday riding her bike to her aunt’s house, but she never arrived.

ABC 7 reports that Alison Jillian Chao, 15, was seen on surveillance footage around 5:30 p.m. leaving her father’s house in the 200 block of North Ynez Avenue. Alison was riding her GT mountain bike, heading to her aunt’s home in San Gabriel.

According to KLTA, Alison’s mother, Annie Chao, said, “The more time that goes on, the scarier it gets. I’m afraid the public will lose interest, and it will be harder to find her. There’s less evidence.”

Alison is starting her junior year at Mark Keppel High School and is a straight-A student. She has never run away before. She has not spoken with any friends or had any activity on social media.

Alison stand five-feet, two-inches tall, and weighs 94 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt with black shorts and dark shoes. She was also carrying a backpack.

The family has been hanging flyers and searching the area in hopes of finding her or gaining information on her possible whereabouts.

“It’s been very chaotic,” Annie told ABC 7. “It sounds crazy, but we don’t have a play-by-play for this kind of stuff. What do you do? As a parent, you’re making flyers, you’re contacting the news, we were out driving around to anyone that was open, posting up flyers. We reached out to the community.”

“The community has really come together to help me look for my little girl.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Monterey Park Police at 626-573-1311.
