82-Year-Old Vermont Woman Missing Under Suspicious Circumstances; Police Seek Public’s Help

A Vermont woman is missing under suspicious circumstances as of Wednesday afternoon.

NBC reports that Roberta Martin, 82, vanished on Wednesday from her home on Butternut Hollow Road in Enosburg, Vermont. Neighbors checked on her just before noon and found she was nowhere to be found.

The last time Martin’s family heard from her was Tuesday evening.

On Friday morning, the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team executed a search warrant at the house and property adjacent to Martin’s home on Butternut Hollow Road.

“Investigators obtained information that indicates Ms. Martin’s disappearance is suspicious. To ensure the integrity of the investigation, VSP is unable to comment further at this time on the evidence that has led to this conclusion,” the VSP news release stated.

The VSP news release also requests help from anyone who passed through the general area of Sand Hill Road and Butternut Hollow Road from 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, until 12 noon Wednesday, July 17

Anyone with information is urged to contact the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993. Anonymous tops can be submitted online at https://vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
