Developing: Five Shot, Officer Injured Following Gas Station Shooting, Suspects on the Run

Five people were shot, and one officer was injured early Saturday morning, at a gas station in Dallas.

Law enforcement is searching for three male suspects in connection with the shooting at the Texaco on the 100 block of West Laureland Road, off I-35E, according to ABC 8.

Two women and three men were shot and taken to the hospital. All remain hospitalized, with one in critical condition.

The officer sustained minor injuries while attempting to direct and control the crowd.

The Dallas Police Department is unsure what provoked the violence. However, the area is known for large crowds due to frequent parties at a nearby sports bar.

Surveillance video showed dozens of people and cars loitering in the Texaco parking lot around 4 a.m. A rifle was reportedly seen firing into the crowd.

Police believe the incident was targeted, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
