Remains Found, Believed to Be Missing 18-Year-Old Georgia Mom; 2 Charged in Her Murder

Human remains believed to belong to a teen mom who disappeared last October were found this week in central Georgia.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the remains were found in a wooded area in Monroe County, just north of Bibb County, by a construction crew.

“The remains are believed to be that of missing person, Gabriella Dixon,” the sheriff’s office said. “The remains have been sent to the GBI to be positively identified.”

The sheriff’s office said it had also arrested Jatarvius Deangelo Price and charged him with conspiracy to commit murder. Investigators also served a murder warrant for the arrest of Reginald Harris, Dixon’s boyfriend, at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Dixon, 18, was last seen on October 30 when she dropped her children off with Harris, their father, as CrimeOnline reported. Harris later brought the children to Dixon’s mother, where her then-2-year-old daughter told her grandmother that “she saw her mother lying in blood,” Dixon’s father, Reggie White said.

A police report said that the little girl told police, “Momma was in blood,” but her older sibling told the girl Dixon was sleeping.

Price was originally arrested in November and charged with making false statements and tampering with evidence, Bibb County officials said. He made bond on those charges. Harris was already in jail on unrelated charges that include assault, family violence, and terroristic threats, CrimeOnline reported.

The sheriff’s office said more “details and actions” would be released when they become available.
