6 Arrested in Months-Long Georgia Child Sexual Abuse Investigation

Six people were arrested Tuesday on child molestation charges following a months-long investigation by multiple Georgia law enforcement agencies.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said it executed search warrants at a home in Winder early Tuesday morning and took the six people into custody at four separate locations elsewhere in Georgia.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation began when four juveniles made the allegations to forensic interviewers after they were removed from the home last year by the state Department of Family & Children Services. The offenses were all alleged to have taken place at a home in Winder over the past five years.

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said that the victims’ relatives orchestrated some of the sexual assaults, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

The arrestees ranged in age from 22 to 57 and were each charged with multiple counts:

Paul Andrew Bean, 32, faces multiple counts of child molestation, sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, cruelty to children, and incest. He was arrested at The Whits Inn in Loganville.

Ashley Nicole Neese, 22, was charged with multiple counts of child molestation and cruelty to children. She was arrested at a home in Jefferson.

Jerry Lee Neese Jr., 24, was charged with several counts of child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, and cruelty to children and was arrested at the same home in Jefferson as Ashley Neese.

Kavin Eugene Neese, 55, faces multiple counts of child molestation, false imprisonment, aggravated sexual battery, and cruelty to children. He was arrested at a different home in Jefferson.

Keith Allen Neese, 57, faces multiple counts of child molestation and cruelty to children and was arrested in Flowery Branch.

Felisa Michelle Bailey was charged with multiple counts of child molestation and cruelty to children and was arrested at the same home in Flowery Branch.

“I want to thank the Loganville Police Department, and the Jackson County and Hall County Sheriff’s Offices for their assistance in getting these suspects behind bars,” said Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith. “The effort to arrest these suspects simultaneously at four different locations required incredible coordination between our deputies and law enforcement partners.”

For each arrestee, the sheriff’s office said that “additional charges are pending.” The sheriff’s office did not explain how the suspects and victims are related.
