An investigation is underway in South Dakota after a deceased infant was discovered at a recycling plant on Tuesday.

Sioux Falls police told the Argus Leader that staff at Millennium Recycling found the dead baby at their facility. Right now, it is unclear how long the baby was at the recycling facility.

“We’ve never had an infant found at a recycling center before,” a police spokesperson said.

Police said the infant was full-term. Autopsy results are expected back in a few weeks.
