Developing: Virginia Pediatric Nurse Missing for Nearly 2 Weeks Under ‘Involuntary Circumstances’

A Virginia nurse has been missing since July 31 under “involuntary circumstances” according to police.

Mamta Kafle Bhatt, 28, a mother of a 10-month-old baby and a pediatric nurse at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center, was last seen in Manassas Park on July 31. Police issued a missing person alert over the weekend, according to Inside NOVA.

Manassas Park Police Chief Mario Lugo stated that Bhatt’s husband reported her missing on August 5 after she didn’t check in for work on August 1 at Inova Hospital in Fairfax. When asked about the delay in reporting her missing, the husband told WUSA 9 that that was a question for police.

Bhatt is described as standing 5 feet tall and weighing around 130 pounds. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Manassas Park police at 703-361-1136.
