UPDATE: Pregnant Teen’s Husband Arrested Weeks After She Vanishes From Barracks

U.S. Army officials confirmed on Monday that an active duty servicemember has been arrested for his pregnant wife’s unsolved disappearance.

The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division confirmed Private First Class Dewayne Johnson’s arrest in a statement issued to HNN. His arrest is reportedly related to his wife, Mischa Mabeline Kaalohilani Johnson, 19, who was last seen in their Schofield Barracks home on July 31.

“As an update, an individual has been placed into military custody in the Mischa Johnson missing person case,” Monday’s statement reads.

Reports indicated that Mischa Johnson was six months pregnant when she vanished. Her family told HNN that Dewayne Johnson is the prime suspect in her ongoing disappearance.

Dewayne Johnson is originally from Maryland and was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division in June 2023, according to Army officials.

Mischa Johnson was described as standing 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and having a large dragon tattoo on her back.

The Army Criminal Investigation Division is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to her discovery. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the agency at 808-208-0069.
