Developing: Mississippi Father Arrested, 3-Month-Old Son Dies After Left in Hot Car

A Mississippi man is behind bars after police say he left his 3-month-old baby inside a hot car Monday.

Delta News TV reports that police responded to the 700 block of Manilla in Greenville, in response to the mother of the child, who said the baby’s father, Raphael Montgomery, left the infant inside his behicle while he worked.

Hospital staff at Delta Health Systems informed police that the infant was deceased. Police subsequently arrested Montgomery on charges of “Felony Child Deprivation of Necessaries with Substantial Harm.”

According to Jan Null, CCM, Adjunct Professor of Meteorology at San Jose State University, police have not yet officially confirmed if the infant died from being left in the car.
