North Carolina investigators are searching for the adult daughter of a woman found dead in her home in the Black Mountain area on Thursday.
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to the home Thursday morning and found Lori Pallinger dead, WYFF reported. Deputies say they are investigating the death as a homicide.
They looking for Danya Kathryn Dewey, Pallinger’s daughter, who may be driving a silver 2015 Subaru Outback with North Carolina tag number KDS-3461.
According to WLOS, neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area late Wednesday night but apparently did not call police.
Deputies have not revealed Pallinger’s cause of death or any other details. They ask anyone with information to contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at 828-250-6670.
