“Dancing with the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsev was taken into custody on domestic violence charges, Napa County, California, jail records show.
Chigvintsev, 42, was arrested on Thursday morning, shortly before 10 a.m., and booked under California penal code 273.5(a), which criminalizes causing injury to a spouse, cohabitant, or fellow parent in a domestic violence incident.
ABC 7 reports that Chigvintsev is married to former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia (formerly Bella), though it’s unclear is she was the person involved.
Jail records indicate his bail was set at $25,000.
Variety reports that Chigvintsev and Garcia met as dance partners on Season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars.” The couple, who share a son, got married in 2022.
Just three days before his arrest, they both took to Instagram to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
