A 4-year-old Louisiana boy found a loaded, unsecured handgun in the glove box of a car and shot himself to death with it.
According to WAFB, the incident took place just after 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Brusly.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office told WBRZ the boy found the gun in his father’s truck when the father got out to adjust his trailer, leaving him unsupervised.
The child was airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, where he was pronounced dead, WAFB said.
The child’s name has not been released, and it’s not clear if any charges will be filed.
