A Pennsylvania husband and wife have been charged in the death of a 26-year-old woman found dead in their apartment.
The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office identified the victim on Sunday as Allie McFadden, WGAL reported. She was found dead in the Harrisburg apartment of Kyle and Chanise Burton late Thursday night.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Harrisburg Bureau of Police said they responded to the apartment at about 11 p.m for a report of an assault taking place.
“Upon the arrival of officers they made contact with Kyle and Chanise Burton, the residents of the apartment,” police said in a statement. “Officers later discovered a deceased adult female inside of the apartment and an investigation was immediately initiated.”
Charging documents say Kyle Burton, 42, assaulted the victim while his 36-year-old wife pointed a gun at her, WGAL said. They did not reveal a motive for the slaying or say who called in the assault report.
The Burtons are each charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit homicide, and conspiracy to commit assault.
