A woman and two of her children were found shot to death in their Texas home on Sunday. A third child, 8 months old, was wounded and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Bullard Police identified the victims as Tatyanna Smith, 25; Madilynn Evans, 4; and Maison Evans, 2, KETK reported. The baby was identified as Lyric Minter, who was taken to a hospital in Tyler in critical condition on Sunday and later transferred to a facility in Dallas, The Tyler Morning Telegraph said.
Officers were called to the home just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Smith and the two older children were pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said they were investigating the incident as a triple homicide and were in contact with a person of interest, according to KETK.Investigators are also awaiting results of an autopsy from the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.
“We’ve spoken with numerous individuals surrounding the case,” Bullard Police Chief Jeff Bragg told the Morning Telegraph on Tuesday. “We’re trying to inform everybody as much as possible, as much as we can, without hindering the investigation.”
