Ohio Woman Posts Facebook Videos of Shooting a Day Before Her Arrest for Murder

A 23-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend in Ohio for a double shooting in July that ended with one woman dead and another wounded.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Akira Fletcher on charges of murder, aggravated murder, and felonious assault in connection with the July 12 shooting that left 29-year-old Nyema Norton dead, WXIX reported.

Fletcher was arrested on Saturday after Norton’s death on Monday.

On Friday, Fletcher posted two videos from the incident on Facebook, according to WCPO. In the post, she said she called 911 asking for help.

“I was being punched in my face, rocks thrown at me, and Nyema trying to get in my car,” Fletcher wrote. “She busted my driver side window out to attack me, she continued to try and get in my car to stab me and I let her hit me while I was on the phone with 911 asking for help.”

In the first video, Fletcher is seen getting out of her vehicle while a woman pulls a knife out of her tire and throws a rock at her. The three argue, with Fletcher repeatedly saying “you guys are going to jail.” The second video shows more of the same. Windows in Fletcher’s vehicle are broken out.

Fletcher is due in court on Friday and is being held without bond.
