Stranger Found Driving Missing Texas Woman’s Car, Family Says She Needs Her Medication

Missouri City police in Texas are say a man was found driving a vehicle t linked to the disappearance of Karen Miles, 61, who was last seen on August 21 but wasn’t reported missing until August 29.

KHOU reports that Missouri City police issued a Clear Alert last week for 61-year-old Karen Miles, who was last seen August 21 near the Beltway and Highway 90.

Her Ford Explorer was found in Pearland on August 25, driven by Davante Clark, who was later arrested on unrelated charges of evading arrest. Police recovered the vehicle at an H-E-B parking lot, but Clark told investigators he didn’t know Miles.

Police arrested Clark, but it’s unclear if he knew her or if he’s considered a suspect in her disappearance.

“Everyone is thinking that maybe she was driving her car and she had a medical incident with her diabetes and may have passed out and veered off the road,” her sister, Patricia Evans, said.

Meanwhile, Miles’ loved ones continue to search for her, describing her as a social butterfly who spends time at church and volunteering with various organizations.

“She’s a part of so many organizations. She gives so much, she’s constantly volunteering,” Miles’ friend, Danessa Bolling, said, ABC 13 reports.

“She’s always light, and now everything feels dark because we don’t know where she is,” Bolling said.

Evans said she fears for her sister’s safety due to her diabetic condition, which requires regular insulin.

“We just want Karen home,” Bolling said.

Miles is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
