A Wisconsin assistant fire chief has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a child.
John Albright, the 45-year-old assistant chief of the Sheboygan Falls Fire Deapartment has been placed on administrative leave, the city’s police chief, Aaron Wigen, said in a Facebook post.
Wigen said the department has asked the Sheboygan Police Department to conduct the investigation to avoid any conflict of interest in the much smaller town..
A criminal complaint says that Albright had sex with a 13 or 14 year old child in 2008 or 2009, WTMJ reported. The child told police he lived a few doors down from Albright at the time and met him at a party the older man threw, where Albright asked him to help babysit his daughter.
As they walked back to the party, the victim said, Albright made lewd comments and asked the victim to perform a sex act.
Albright was arrested last Wednesday and has been in the Sheboygan County jail since that time on a $150,000 bond, WISN reported.
