Baby – Possibly Hours Old – Found Dead in Parking Lot

An investigation is underway in California after a deceased baby was found in a parking lot on Thursday.

An employee at Commissary Azteca in Lodi told LodiNews.com that he discovered the body while eating lunch outside. The employee, who reportedly spotted the baby between two cars parked by a wall, called the police after alerting his co-workers to the scene.

The baby, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

While officials have not disclosed the baby’s age, another witness told KCRA that she believed the baby was a few hours old.

“When I see it, I just tried to see if it was moving or not, but I don’t see nothing,” the woman said.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Lodi police at 209-333-6727 or Detective Valencia at 209-269-4826.
