MISSING: Pregnant Woman Told Boss She Feared For Her Life Before Disappearance

A pregnant Texas woman remains missing more than a week after she failed to pick up her paycheck from her job.

Lacaya Bell’s mother told KENS that Bell, 34, vanished on September 18 after saying she was going to meet her ex-boyfriend. Bell, who is four months pregnant, told a manager at McDonald’s about an incident that made her fear for her life.

The nature of that incident was not disclosed. Bell did not notify her job that she would miss work, which raised alarms in her family as she was recently promoted.

“He [Bell’s boyfriend] wanted her to meet him to talk about it, because she had left him, and he wanted her to come back,” the missing woman’s mother told KENS.

Relatives told authorities their calls to Bell’s phone have been going to voicemail, according to KSAT. Bexar County police have not disclosed her last known whereabouts.

Bell was described as standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds, and having shoulder-length black hair and a tongue piercing. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000 or email its Missing Persons Unit at missingpersons@bexar.org.
