A 7-year-old Michigan girl was stabbed to death at her family home on Saturday, and police have arrested her 13-year-old sister.
The Taylor Police Department said it responded to a 911 call early Saturday afternoon and found the injured 7-year-old. The girl was taken to a local hospital but did not survive her injuries.
The investigation determined that the older girl stabbed her sister during an argument. The teen was taken into custody “without incident,” police said.
“This is a tragic event for the family, and we are ensuring that the necessary resources are being made available to support everyone involved,” a statement from the department said. “We ask the public to respect the family’s privacy as we carry out a thorough investigation.”
