Michigan Man Arraigned in Death of Middle School Custodian

A Michigan man was arraigned on murder charges Friday in the death of a middle school custodian whose body was found dismembered in separate locations last week.

Robert Dale Tweedly Jr., 40, pleaded not guilty in the death of Juslie Stilwell, the Midland Daily News reported. He has been charged with murder and moving and mutilation of a corpse.

Stilwell, 41, was reported missing on September 18 when he failed show up for his job at T.L. Handy Middle School in Bay City, as CrimeOnline reported. On the same day, a girl found Stilwell’s severed foot at a boat launch in Bay City, and his arms and legs were found nearby a short time later. Stilwell’s family found his car at a park the boat launch.

Police reportedly found his head and torso at an undisclosed, second location.

The Daily News reported that Tweedly had previous felony arrests and convictions and that he was given a $1 million bond. Investigators have not provided any further information about the case.
