Louisiana police have issued an arrest warrant for a TikTok personality in connection with the death of a well known Baton Rouge therapist whose body was found wrapped in a tarp alongside a roadway in Tangipahoa Parish on Sunday morning.
Dr. William Nicholas “Nick” Abraham, 69, died in a “violent attack” and had blunt force trauma to his head, neck and shoulders, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Gerald Sticker told WAFB.
Abraham’s stolen vehicle was recovered Monday afternoon after a Baton Rouge police officer spotted the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, a warrant says. The driver stopped but refused commands to step out of the vehicle and then backed into the patrol car and took off as the officer approached.
The officer got back into his vehicle to pursue and found the stolen car a short distance away, but the driver was gone.
Hours later, investigators released surveillance footage of that man, and on Tuesday afternoon, identified him as 20-year-old Terryon Ishmael Thomas. The warrant charges him with aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The warrant does not charge Thomas with Abraham’s death, but the sheriff’s office said he is a “person of interest.”
Investigators did not identify Thomas’s TikTok user name, but WVUE identifed him as TikToker Mr. Prada, but that account is run by a woman. Another account, Mr.PradaOfficial, appears to be Thomas’s.
Sticker said investigators believe that Abraham was killed sometime Saturday, possibly in the night, and his body dumped along Highway 51 between Fluker and the Village of Tangipahoa, where a passerby spotted it Sunday morning. A search of Abraham’s home turned up no evidence of a violent crime, so investigators aren’t sure where the attack took place.
