A 9-year-old boy is among 120 people accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault and abuse in impending lawsuits, with more people planning to come forward, a Texas lawyer said.
Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee held a press conference Tuesday, alleging Combs sexually abused multiple minors, People Magazine reports. Buzbee claimed the 9-year-old boy was sexually abused after auditioning at the Bad Boy Records Studio in New York City.
“Other boys were there to audition as well,” Buzbee alleged. “All of them were trying to land a record deal. All of them were minors. This individual [the 9-year-old] was sexually abused, allegedly by Sean Combs and several other people at the studio with the promise to both his parents and himself of getting a record deal.”
NBC News reports that Buzbee said he plans to file a lawsuit within the next 30 days.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee said during Tuesday’s news conference.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Combs is behind bars in New York after a three count indictment claimed that the hip hop mogul “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct” and did so “for decades.”
Among the methods used, the indictment details what it calls “Freak Offs”: “elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.” Such events sometimes lasted for days, the indictment says, and Combs and the victims “typically received IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use.”
Police arrested Combs in September on charges that include racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Under the racketeering conspiracy charge, Combs created “a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice,” the 14-page indictment reads in its first paragraph.
Meanwhile, Buzbee stated that over 3,000 people have brought accusations against Combs to his office, with lawsuits set to be filed in several states. He also mentioned that the names of additional defendants will be disclosed later.
“Many powerful people … many dirty secrets,” he reportedly said.
“It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make sure, damn sure, we are right before we do that. These names will shock you.”
