Connecticut police are investigating after a 7-month-old baby died after being left unattended in a tub.
Emergency crews were called to the East Haven home just after 9 p.m. on Sunday and found hte unresponsive child, WVIT reported.
They attempted life-saving measures at the home and then rushed the baby to Yale New Haven Hospital., where they died, according to the Hartford Courant.
Police said they don’t suspect foul play and that everyone involved remained at the scene.
They provided no further information, however, including the child’s name or who left the baby alone in a bathtub.
“Our hearts break for the child’s family during this incredibly difficult time,” East Haven Police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said. “At this time, we are withholding the identities of those involved pending further investigation.”
The investigation continues.
