Accused Child Rapist Wanted in Alabama and Oregon Turns Himself In

An Alabama man wanted on multiple child sex abuse charges since his release on bond in August on other child sex abuse charges is finally back behind bars.

The Mobile Police Department said Adam James Renk, 39, was charged in early August with sexual torture and sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 and was released on a $7,500 bond, WKRG reported.

After his release, he was charged with sodomy, sexual abuse, attempted sodomy, and producing pornography with minors, but police couldn’t find him.

They didn’t find him in September either, and finally, on Tuesday, Renk surrendered.

According to Central Oregon Daily, Renk was also indicted last month in Wasco County in that state on child sex crimes charges stemming from 2020. He allegedly left Alabama after he bonded out of jail in August and was driving a vehicle with Oregon plates.

The US Marshal’s Service joined the hunt for him, but he ultimately decided to turn himself in.

Jail records show he’s being held on a $175,000 bond.
