A 7-year-old Florida boy was found dead on Tuesday, hours after he vanished from home.
According to WESH, Emerson Felix was last seen at his Orlando home on Monday night. Orange County police said it is investigating the circumstances surrounding Felix’s death, but they said his body was discovered in a body of water near his home.
“We mourn Emerson’s loss and extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his classmates and all who loved him,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
Officials did not disclose whether Felix is autistic. A cause of death is pending.
