An Ohio woman was arrested on Tuesday for killing her 2-year-old son.
Lemou Cire, 38, allegedly told Franklin County detectives that she covered her son’s nose and mouth with her hand until he stopped breathing. Cire, who was charged with murder, was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation as the victim’s father said her mental state had deteriorated over the past few weeks, according to WBNS.
Franklin County Children Services said it had no prior involvement with Cire’s family, according to WSYX.
Cire’s bond was set at $1 million. She is due back in court on October 25.
