Missing Pregnant Woman Possibly Kidnapped From Home

The search continues for a missing Washington woman who may have been kidnapped earlier this month.

KOMO reported that Jackelin Perez, 21, is six weeks pregnant and moved to Auburn four months ago. Auburn police said Perez’s October 13 disappearance is “suspicious” as they believe she was taken from her home against her will.

Perez’s husband allegedly did not contact authorities until the morning after she vanished. Auburn Police Department spokesperson Kolby Crossley told KOMO that they believe Perez’s husband got home 20 minutes after the apparent kidnapping.

“We haven’t ruled him out of a suspect yet, we haven’t ruled out anyone as a suspect. So we’re not necessarily saying he is, but we’re also not necessarily saying he’s not,” they said.

Perez and her husband emigrated from Guatemala within the past year. Police said she speaks limited English.

Perez was described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 111 pounds, and having a scar on her left cheek. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Auburn police tip line at 253-288-7403.
