Teen Girl Missing a Month After She Leaves Home, Following Argument With Sister

The search continues for a 14-year-old Maine girl who vanished more than a month ago.

Stefanie Damron was last seen walking out of her New Sweden home and into the woods on September 23. Her family told WABI that Damron left after arguing with her sister.

“Child Protection Services has been in our house [and] verified and confirmed everything. We had nothing to do with this, we just want our baby home,” the family said.

According to NECN, the Maine Warden Service and state police K-9 Unit have searched swaths of land near where Damron disappeared. The FBI is also helping to search, with their search expanding to Canada.

Damron was described as standing 5 feet tall and weighing 130 pounds. WABI reported that she was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved blue shirt, and black Harley Davidson hiking boots.

Anyone with information regarding Damron’s whereabouts is asked to call the Maine Warden Service at 800-924-2261 or Maine State Police at 207-532-5400.
