‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic Gets Engaged in Prison

“Tiger King” Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka Joe Exotic, has found love in prison and announced his engagement in a post on Twitter.com.

Maldonado-Passage is serving a 21 year prison sentence after his 2020 conviction for violating federal wildlife laws and a murder for hire plot targeting animal activist Carole Baskin, as CrimeOnline reported.

Maldonado-Passage did not say how he met Jorge Marquez, a 33-year-old from Mexico.

“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out,” Maldonado-Passage wrote. “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”

Last week, the Dallas Morning News said that Maldonado-Passage was isolated at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth for scabies. Marquez’s name was not found in a search of the federal inmate databse.
