Ex-Student Charged With Making Online Threats to Students, Staff at 2 Georgia High Schools

A juvenile former student has been arrested after posting a “hit list” on social media that included named students at two Georgia high schools as well as school district employees.

The ex-student, who has not been named, has been charged with terroristic threats and disruption of the operation of a public school, WANF reported.

A spokesperson for Cobb County Schools said the students threatened attended Pope and Walton High Schools. Cobb County Police said a staff member and a school resource officer were also named in the threat.

The school district said they received multiple tips about the online threat, adding that since 14-year-old Colt Gray killed four people and wounded eight others at his Winder high school in early September, the district has noted more than 75 threats.
