A newborn baby girl who was found dead outside a New York apartment building last week was reportedly tossed from a window by her 14-year-old mother.
According to WABC, police said they have located the mother and are interviewing her. On Wednesday, the naked newborn was found with her umbilical cord attached in the rear courtyard of a Bronx apartment building.

Reports indicated that a contactor discovered the baby in an area that was difficult to access.
Law enforcement sources previously said the baby’s mother was possibly a teen who was hiding her pregnancy and had given birth at the building before dumping the body. The girl who was being questioned has not been publicly identified.
According to WABC, police also said an autopsy will determine if the baby was born alive. No criminal charges have been filed.
