A Maryland woman has been charged with first degree murder after she apparently called police Monday morning and told them she’d killed her mother.
The Montgomery County Department of Police said the 911 call came in just before 10 a.m. on Monday from Tiffany Zhang, 29. Zhang told dispatchers that she’d killed her mother, 63-year-old Guichun Hu, on Sunday and that her body was outside the Gaithersburg home in a grass field.
Officers arrived at the home and found Zhang waiting for them outside. The located the body of Hu, and she was pronounced dead on the scene.
An autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death.
Police did not say anything about a motive.
